Wide Format Printer

Overview

University House has three wide format inkjet printers operated by HCISS Technical for students, staff and community members of the University.

Across all the printers we are able to print on a wide variety of media, from simple presentation to archival gallery prints.

Prints can be submitted at any time via the online Print Submit Form.

The wide format printers are Class Red Equipment – the physical operation is to be conducted by technical and trained staff only.

Payment & Pick-Up

Payment must be made before prints are released via the Print Media Payment Portal, proof of this purchase is uploaded alongside the print submission in the print submit form.

Pick-up is between 10 – 11am & 3 – 4pm, Monday to Friday from the Makerspace Print Lab in G07. See Technical Staff (G03) for more information.

Technical Specifications

The three printers are:

  • A2 (17″) Epson Stylus Pro 4900
  • 610mm (24″) Canon ipf6450
  • 1118mm (44″) Canon ipf8400

The Canon printers have 12 inks and the Epson has 11, they are able to produce professional levels of vibrant colours and detail compared to a personal 4 ink CMYK printer.

The longest prints are equivalent to a full roll of paper, this can be anywhere from 12-60 metres. Please seek assistance from Technical Staff for further information.
